My decision to pursue a Master’s degree in Information Technology from the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) in London was a transformative one. In 2021, I moved to the United Kingdom to further my education and gain exposure to a world-class academic environment. The transition to London wasn’t just about earning a degree; it was a deliberate step towards refining my technical expertise and understanding the global landscape of IT.

The Master’s program at UWS offered me the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, explore emerging trends in information technology, and collaborate with peers and professors who were passionate about shaping the future of tech. The diversity of perspectives in the program enriched my learning experience, and the combination of practical, hands-on learning and theoretical knowledge gave me the tools needed to succeed in a competitive industry.

Throughout my time at UWS, I not only strengthened my existing skills in software development but also gained exposure to specialized areas such as cloud computing, data analytics, and IT project management. Graduating in 2022 with a Master’s degree in Information Technology, I was ready to take on the professional world with the knowledge, skills, and confidence I had gained throughout my academic journey. However, the road ahead was not without challenges.

After completing my Master’s degree, I faced the challenge of entering the competitive job market. Despite the challenges, my academic background and having more than 7 years of experience in Pakistan I would still feel my passion for Salesforce development was set apart from many candidates. With more than 10 certifications in Salesforce, DevOps and middleware tool Dell Boomi, I was more confident and turning the stones up sit down.

In December 2022, I secured a position as a Senior Salesforce Developer at Allianz Technology UK, one of the world’s largest financial services companies.

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, I also had the opportunity to mentor junior developers and share my knowledge of Salesforce technologies with others. I found fulfillment in guiding my colleagues and helping them develop their skills, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. I quickly became known for my technical expertise, leadership qualities, and ability to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
