Stepping out, you're immediately greeted with the city's classic energy, and the scenery is simply incredible. Plus, having PureGym basically next door? Lifesaver for those days you want to keep yourself active. Inside, it’s chill.  
 
The profs and staff aren’t just here to teach; they’re actually there for you. Got a question about your essay? Need career advice? or just wanna rant about how confusing London buses can be? They’re your go-to. And the classes? Super interactive. It’s not just theory; it’s about actually learning stuff you’ll use in the real world. Think less textbook, more “let’s actually do this.”  

Meet your London Lifesavers: The TEG Club!

Okay, if you’re worried about making friends or feeling lonely, STOP RIGHT THERE. The TEG Club staff are literally the unsung heroes of UWS London. From day one, they’re not just guiding you through enrolment; they’re basically your unofficial London tour guides and problem-solvers. Lost your way? Can’t figure out your timetable? They’ve got you.  
 
But here’s the real tea: their events. We’re talking epic food festivals (hello, global munchies!), lit club nights, competitive quiz battles, and even sports days. These aren’t just random events; they’re where you find your squad, make memories that’ll last way past graduation, and realise you’re part of something way bigger than just a university. 

Living Your Best London Life: My Top Tips!

London’s not just a city; it’s a whole mood board. From the classic postcard shots like the London Eye to hidden gems like the street art paradise of Shoreditch and Bricklane (seriously, get lost there, it’s worth it!), there’s always something new. And get this: you can actually hit the beach! Brighton’s a super cool, artsy escape, Southend’s got those classic pier vibes, and Margate is surprisingly trendy - all just a short train ride away. Perfect for a sunny day escape.

People here? Mostly surprisingly sweet. Don’t be shy if you’re lost; a friendly Londoner will usually point you in the right direction (they might even complain about the weather with you), but don’t ask them while on a train during rush hour!).

Trust me, you'll get to know the public transport system really well with your Oyster card and student discounts. London can be overwhelming, but it's also where you learn to be totally independent and comfortable figuring things out for yourself. 

Real talk: The ups and the downs

Okay, real talk: missing home is rough. Especially during holidays when all your friends are posting family pics on their IG stories. But hey, it's also an awesome way to learn how to adult and handle things on your own.

Video calls with my family (and my dog, obviously) are non-negotiable. And making friends here? UWS London is basically a global meet-and-greet. I’ve met people from every corner of the world, and what started as “hey, are you in this class?” turned into sharing meals, exploring hidden vintage shops, and basically becoming a second family. The love is real.

This whole journey? It’s been a glow-up. Living here has pushed me outta my comfort zone in ways I never imagined. I’ve learned to juggle deadlines, actually cook (mostly!), and navigate this huge city like a pro. Night buses and all! Confidence? Check. Resilience? Double check. Compassion? You bet.
