Dr Giuseppe Scotto

Dr. Scotto is an experienced university lecturer with over a decade of experience in the British higher education sector. Throughout his career, Dr Scotto has coordinated and delivered modules on general business management, international business, and intercultural management. Before joining UWS, Dr. Scotto served as a teaching assistant at the University of Sussex and later as a lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University. During his eight-year tenure in Liverpool, Dr. Scotto completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and earned Fellowship status with the Higher Education Academy.

Dr. Scotto follows a multidisciplinary approach, drawing from his studies in Economics and Social Sciences at the undergraduate level, Asian Studies at the master’s level, and Migration Studies at the doctoral level. His research focusses on professional migration and mobilities, migrant businesses, entrepreneurship, and social, political, and economic transnationalism. His other interests include geopolitics and geoeconomics, with a specific focus on the economies, societies, and political systems of Asia.
