What is a MSc Sustainable Technology and Management all about?

Sustainability is an increasingly relevant concern of almost every industry operating now, so it is no surprise that the global market in environmental goods and services is currently worth around £3 trillion. The MSc Sustainable Technology and Management course is centred around the requirements of the manufacturing and services sectors, in particular. Using real-world examples to further understand the theoretical concepts taught, not only will this course address the strategic and operational challenges encountered by organisations that are conducting their practices in a sustainable manner, but it will also train you to find solutions to these problems from an engineering standpoint.

Where will this course take me?

Now, more so than ever, companies are working towards adopting Net Zero targets by 2050, and are focused on developing sustainability strategies. Additionally, the United Nations has created Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) in an effort to reduce inequalities and improve society, economy, and environment. In order to do that, they require professionals who are qualified to lead sustainability initiatives and have the knowledge to improve the quality of sustainable operations. After completing this course, graduates can find jobs as Sustainability Managers, Principal Sustainability Managers, Sustainability Project Managers, Sustainability Programme Managers, Sustainability Consultants, Sustainability Analysts and, Senior Environment and Sustainability Managers. The university also works closely with the Engineering Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) to ensure that we keep in line with the developing trends in the job market.
