So whatever way you want to start your career in London, UWS has something to offer – and when you’re ready to apply, just follow our 8 step guide.

Choosing a course that's right for you

There are many benefits of studying in London, and UWS have a wide range of courses, including business, finance, marketing, health, education and more. Have a look at your options and take some time to look at all the details of the courses that interest you. You might find there is more than one course that leads you to the kind of career you’re working towards.

If you need some guidance with this, we suggest you book an appointment with a career advisor. They’ll be able to work through your options with you and make suggestions on potential paths you can follow to get where you want to be.

While you’re looking at your options, be sure to check if you have or are on track to having any necessary academic or English Language qualifications that are needed to meet the course entry requirements. You can find general information on entry requirements for all our courses here.

Once you’re ready, follow our step-by-step guide on how to apply to UWS London below.

Step 1: Speak to a TEG team member

First things first, get in touch with us through the ‘Enquire now’ button at the top of this page (right-hand corner). A member of The Education Group London (TEG), a service partner of UWS, will personally take you through the application process so it all goes smoothly.

Before enquiring to speak to a member of TEG, it’s important you take some time to read the rest of this guide so that you can get the most out of the support they’ll give you.

Once you’ve spoken to them, you can carry on with the application process with their guidance. So, you should only complete the following steps once you’ve spoken to one of TEG’s admission advisers.

Step 2: Prepare your documents

Ensure you have digital copies of all the documents you need to provide – in an electronic format and make sure they are no larger than 2MB.

After having spoken to a member of the TEG team, you should know which specific documents (if not all) of these will be needed for your application:

  • Qualification certificates/transcripts in English
  • English language proficiency test certificates
  • A signed academic reference on headed paper
  • CV in English
  • Proof of funding (if required)
  • Copy of Passport
  • Visa/CAS statement (if held)

Step 3: Write your personal statement

Your personal statement is your opportunity to get across your passion for your chosen field and why you’re a good candidate for UWS and the course specifically. It’s also the place to explain any breaks in your education or career so far.

If you’re an international student, UWS would also like to know why it is you’re interested in studying in the UK.

We have a helpful guide on our website to help you structure your statement and help you understand what kind of information UWS are looking for at this point.

Step 4: Submit your application

You’re now ready to submit your application online.

Step 5: Respond to your offer

Wait to hear from the University – Once submitted, your application will be processed by UWS admissions. We’ll then get in touch with you via email if we need further information or if we have information on the outcome of your application.

Step 6: Pay a deposit to secure your place

The number of places on our courses are limited. All our Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses require a deposit (50% of your course fees) to be paid to reserve your place.

For information on course fees which are payable later on, see our course fees page

Step 7: Attend a credibility interview

This is a straightforward interview that is used to make sure all our students are credible and able to study at UWS.

If you’re an international student, this is where you will need to provide your CAS documents which the TEG member will have explained to you in Step 2.

Step 8: Apply for your Visa

If you’re an international student (including nationals from EEA or Switzerland), you will next need to acquire a student Visa to study in the UK. For more information, see our immigration and Visas page.

TEG are on hand to help you apply
